Biohackers, New Sci-Fi Series Made in Germany After Netflix's Dark



The trailer of the Biohackers series has been released. The new German-language fiction series Biohackers Dark, aired on Netflix, is coming to take the throne. The Biohackers series will be released in the Netflix series category on August 20, 2020. Season 1 of the series will consist of 6 episodes in total.


This summer, broadcasting platforms with movies and regular TV shows offer us new stockpiles of content one after another. Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the new sci-fi series Biohackers. The drama follows a young medical student confronting his teacher's past sins.


The Dark series, which is the first production of Netflix Germany, lasted 3 seasons in total. Biohackers came from Christian Ditter, the creator of another Netflix series from 2017, Girlboss.


Girlboss was a comedy series based on the Autobiography of Sophia Amoruso, founder of Nasty Gal Company. It was canceled after its first season due to negative reviews. Ditter also directed the 2016 romantic comedy movie How to Be Single. Biohackers will be Ditter's first science fiction work. The fact that this series was replaced after the third and last season of Dark in the past few weeks made expectations quite high.

The villain of the series, Jessica Schwarz, is recognized by the people with the 2006 Perfume: The Story of a Murderer movie. He will portray the role of Professor Tana Lorenz in Biohackers.
